Indy Pride announced a slew of changes in honor of its 30th anniversary. Additions to the yearly celebration include a two-day slate of musical performances and a free celebration taking place on Monument Circle.

Thousands of people came out Saturday for the Indy Pride parade and festival in downtown Indianapolis.

This year’s Indy Pride parade is Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to noon, with the festival continuing until 10 p.m. at Military Park in Downtown Indianapolis.

The Indy Pride Parade hit the streets of Indianapolis Saturday to the cheers of thousands.

This year’s festival will run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Military Park, 601 W. New York St. General admission is $10 and can be purchased online. Live performances and activities will occur throughout the day.

Indy Pride plans to return to in-person events this year after the festival and parade were canceled the last two years due to COVID-19.

This year's Indy Pride Festival will again be held virtually. Board President Tanner Alexander said participants can explore a venue map, and connect with vendors, businesses, and organizations.

Members and allies of the LGBTQ community are promoting Pride Month with the "Wave Your Flag With Pride" campaign.

The Indy Pride Board of Directors announced the majority of events will be virtual this year, for the traditional celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride in Indianapolis.
