The final debate between Republican U.S. Senate candidates Mike Braun, U.S. Rep. Luke Messer (R-Greensburg) and U.S. Rep. Todd Rokita (R-Brownsburg) was focused almost entirely on attacks between each candidate.

Two sitting congressmen and a former state lawmaker are locked in tight competition for a chance to unseat Democrat Joe Donnelly in November.

Candidates Todd Rokita, Luke Messer and Mike Braun explored common ground through much of the evening.

Supporters for senator's re-election campaign gathered in Indianapolis to make the case women should support Donnelly for a second term.

It isn't the first time the support was made public, and represents a political race increasingly focused on a single issue.

Apart from the traded attacks, the 90 minute exchange, sponsored by conservative group Americans for Prosperity-Indiana, was heavy on policy.

He says the moderate group is ready to work together again if funding talks fall through in February.
