Indianapolis’ professional women’s basketball team, the Indiana Fever, announced plans on Thursday to build a $78 million practice facility in the city’s downtown.

One day after Michael Thomas Lewis was charged with felony stalking of Indiana Fever star and WNBA rookie of the year Caitlin Clark, the 55-year-old Texas man shouted “guilty as charged” as soon as he sat down in a courtroom Tuesday.

The Indiana Fever hired Stephanie White as coach on Friday, putting her in charge of a team led by WNBA Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark.

The Indiana Fever fired coach Christie Sides on Sunday, the organization announced. Sides went 33-47 in her two seasons with the squad, including going 20-20 this season. The Fever made the playoffs as the sixth seed and were swept in the first round by the Connecticut Sun.

Caitlin Clark did all she could to help the Indiana Fever stave off elimination. It just wasn’t enough. The sensational rookie scored 25 points and had nine assists in Indiana’s 87-81 loss to Connecticut in Game 2.

Kelly Krauskopf will return to the Indiana Fever as President of both basketball and business operations after the season is over, the team announced Monday. She led the franchise from 2000-18 before she left to become the Pacers’ assistant GM.

Allison Barber’s announced departure comes after the Fever head to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Next years WNBA All-Star Game will be held in Indianapolis. Its the first time the state will host the game that brings top athletes in the league to showcase their talent. The game is set to take place on July 19, 2025.

Caitlin Clark posted the first triple-double by a rookie in WNBA history to rally Indiana to an 83-78 victory over New York on Saturday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, snapping the Fever's nine-game losing streak to the Liberty. Clark finished with 19 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds for Indiana (9-13). Aliyah Boston finished with 18 points on 8-for-12 shooting and had eight rebounds for the Fever. Sabrina Ionescu scored 22 to lead New York, which had won five straight games. Betnijah Laney-Hamilton added 20 points, Clark, the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft, was one rebound shy of a triple-double two games ago in an 88-82 road victory over the Phoenix Mercury.

Caitlin Clark's much anticipated WNBA debut is set for Tuesday night in Connecticut.
