An excavation project is underway on the site of Indianapolis’s first cemetery.

The Henry Street bridge will connect neighborhoods and span the White River at a key site in downtown Indianapolis.

The city has spent the last year working with a community advisory group to study the riverfront site where Greenlawn Cemetery was built in the 1800’s.
