Hoosiers will be able to drive on the newest section of Interstate 69 from Crane to Bloomington starting Wednesday.

The proposed 30,000-square-foot building would be located across the street from the university's basketball arena and football stadium.

A ceremony marking the opening of I-69 section four, which runs from Naval Surface Warfare Crane to Bloomington, is scheduled for next week.

The Indiana Department of Transportation will hold the first of three public open houses to be held this week about the final leg of the Interstate 69 extension at Perry Meridian High School in Indianapolis Monday night.

Crews are nearly finished paving travel lanes, meaning they'll soon move on to putting up signs, lighting, guardrails, striping and working on the shoulders.

Sycamore Land Trust says the land is along Beanblossom Creek, about a mile northwest of the group's current Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve.
