The U.S. Department of Education is investigating Indiana University Bloomington and 59 other schools for alleged violations “relating to antisemitic harassment and discrimination."

Hours before Indiana University’s undergraduate ceremony at Memorial Stadium, protesters hosted an alternate graduation ceremony in Dunn Meadow.

Pro-Palestinian protests are popping up on college campuses around the country, including an encampment at IUPUI.

As of Monday police had arrested 57 people, including many faculty and students. Several protesters said they were hit, kicked and placed in chokeholds. 

Indiana University president and provost issued an update as protests continue on campus. More than 33 students have been arrested amid faculty condemnation.

Indiana University changed its policy on encampments one day before pro-Palestine protesters began. At least 34 students have been arrested so far.
