More than 130 students left Broad Ripple Middle School since late August and dozens of them are now enrolled outside of Indianapolis Public Schools.

The changes would take effect in the 2025-26 school year and the district says it will impact less than 3 percent of Washington Township students.

The Board of Education of the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township unanimously approved Sean Taylor as the superintendent of schools beginning July 1, 2025. He currently serves as the associate superintendent for Washington Township Schools.
