The business relocated its headquarters from Irvine, California, to Indiana in 2012 after investing $4.6 million to expand its office in Columbus.

Air conditioning company Carrier Corp. said Tuesday that it had reached a deal with President-elect Donald Trump to keep nearly 1,000 jobs in Indiana. Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence planned to travel to the state Thursday to unveil the agreement alongside company officials.

Detroit-based GM said in a statement that employees were notified last week about the decision, which will affect about 100 hourly and 60 salaried employees.
