With a new campus coming, students are finding a temporary home on the far east side.

Gov. Eric Holcomb and leaders from the Indiana School for the Deaf and the Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired broke ground Thursday on a project to join the two schools on one campus.

The Indiana School for the Blind and Visually Impaired has a new leader after the governor and the school’s board this week appointed James Michaels as the new superintendent.
