Gov. Eric Holcomb authorized Indiana soldiers going to Washington on Jan. 13 as more than 25,000 troops from across the country were dispatched there following the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

Six hundred twenty-five Indiana National Guard soldiers are going to Washington from Saturday until two days after Joe Bidens Jan. 20 inauguration. Up to 15,000 Guard troops are expected to be on duty in coming days in Washington.
