The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is extending its hours for Election Day.

Virginia Transportation Secretary Shep Miller spoke with former Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles Commissioner Peter Lacy on Tuesday morning, according to a spokeswoman for GOP Gov. Glenn Youngkin.

The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles is temporarily closing eight offices around the state starting Oct. 4, and lasting through the end of the month. It's due to an ongoing staffing shortage at local branches.
