Gov. Eric Holcomb finished the work of the 2017 legislative session, signing the remaining bills left on his desk.

Holcomb's predecessor, former governor Mike Pence, vetoed a similar bill in 2015.

The finalists are vying to replace retiring Justice Robert Rucker, who steps down after 26 years on the bench.
