Le Monte Booker will lead the museum following the unexpected departure of Colette Burnette last year. Burnette was on the job for less than two years.

Adrienne Sims is the latest to resign from the board of Newfields in the wake of the departure of CEO Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette.

The Indiana Black Expo and the Indianapolis Urban League issued a statement Thursday about the “negative perceptions” attached to Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette’s exit from Newfields.

Newfields announced Friday that Dr. Colette Pierce Burnette resigned as President and CEO. She started the job 15 months ago, replacing the former Newfields CEO Charles Venable.
