Indiana’s poorest performing casino, in the southeast corner of the state, wants to move. A bill to allow them to relocate to northeastern Indiana couldn’t get a vote this session.

The proposed move of a casino from southeast to northeast Indiana is likely dead this legislative session after hours of testimony Wednesday that pitted neighbor against neighbor.

Sean Eberhart, 57, was charged with conspiracy to commit honest services fraud. He had agreed to plead guilty earlier this month. The offense is punishable by a maximum sentence of five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.
