February 2019 - Mario Rodriguez & Michael Huber
February 01, 2019
Its hard to believe that the new terminal at the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is now a decade old, yet the accolades keep rolling in. IND has been named the best airport in North America by the Airports Council International seven times and for the fourth year in a row Conde Nest readers awarded it the best airport in the country. The Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) owns and operates IND and is continuously focused on long-term stability and sustainability. Executive Director Indianapolis Airport Authority, Mario Rodriguez, an aviation expert with over 29 years of experience in the private and public sectors, has been the executive director of the IAA since 2014. Rodriguez sits down with Michael Huber, Indy Chamber President and CEO, for an enlightening conversation regarding several recent major initiatives including the recent addition of INDs first transatlantic, non-stop flight to Paris, welcoming INFOSYS to its new home where the former terminal was once located, significant expansion to the FedEx Facility, as well as other successes that underscore IAAs importance to the economy of Indianapolis, as well as Central Indiana.
