WFYI Public Media announced that, following a nationwide search, Erin Earnest has been selected as chief content officer of the station. Earnest previously worked at Butler University and Live Nation, and joins WFYI, Central Indiana’s NPR and PBS member station, in a period of expanded, multiplatform audiences.

WFYI Public Media issued a statement today on the charges against a former employee who is accused with a co-conspirator of conspiracy to commit wire fraud. The charges were filed by the Department of Justice’s U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana on September 1, 2022.

The America Amplified 2.0 initiative, based at WFYI Public Media in Indianapolis, announced today that 20 public media stations will be part of its 2021 and 2022 community engagement journalism cohorts. Each of the stations will receive funding and support from the initiative, which is supported by a grant from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
