WFYI Names New Officers & Welcomes Ten New Directors to Organization & Foundation Boards

WFYI Public Media named new officers for its board of directors and added 10 new board members – five to the WFYI / Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Media (MIPM) board of directors and five to the WFYI Foundation board of directors. All will contribute to WFYI’s mission of trusted journalism, inspiring stories and lifelong learning. The WFYI Foundation board is specifically responsible for growing and operating the organization’s endowment fund.

The new officers of the WFYI / MIPM board, elected to a one-year term, include:

  • Raquel Richardson, Chair
  • Neelay Bhatt, Vice Chair
  • Brenda Horn, Immediate Past Chair
  • Greg Petrowich, President
  • Sue Back, Treasurer
  • Howard Schrott, Secretary

The five new WFYI / MIPM directors, each elected to a three-year term, include:

  • Katie Culp, CEO, KSM Location Advisors and Partner, KSM
  • Rebecca Kubacki, Civic Leader
  • Matt Sause, CEO, Roche Diagnostics, Corporate North America
  • Karin Veatch, Attorney, UBS
  • James Yang, Vice President, Information Security & CISO; OneAmerica

The new officers of the WFYI Foundation board, elected to a two-year term, include:

  • Robert Elzer, Chair
  • Susanne McAlister Spitzberg, Vice Chair
  • George Plews, Immediate Past Chair
  • Susanne Sogard, Secretary

The five new WFYI Foundation directors, each elected to a two-year term, include:

  • Eric Gillispie, Vice President - Corporate Controller, Mays Chemical Company
  • John Guy, President, Wealth Planning&Management, LLC
  • Marnie Maxwell, Owner, Maxwell Planning LLC
  • Dr. Mary Greist, MD
  • Mike Heaton, Partner at Katz Sapper & Miller
