Farmers and the Flea Market

Indianapolis has a new outdoor farmers market with afternoon hours every Saturday.

Jessee Matracia with the Farmer & The Flea, said the market is located near Mass Ave in the Windsor Park/Cottage Home neighborhood and operates out of the Circle City Industrial Complex parking lot.

She said the afternoon hours and distinctive vendors make the market unique in the city.

“We wanted it to be really, really flexible on what kind of vendors were here with us so we didn’t want it to be just a farmers market or just a flea market” Matracia said.

The market is built to accommodate service industry workers and night owls. “I was a bartender for several years myself and could never make it to a farmers market because they always took place in the morning” Matracia said.

The market will be open until Oct. 30 at which point the Indy Winter Market will pick back up inside the Circle City Industrial Complex.

The summer market hours are noon to 4 p.m. every Saturday at 1125 East Brookside Ave.
