This Friday over 1,000 volunteers plan to roll up their sleeves and get to work across central Indiana.

About 80 nonprofits will work with volunteers on a variety of projects under the banner of Go All IN Day, coordinated by the United Way of Central Indiana.

Margaret Matray from United Way says each nonprofit’s project is chosen based on what the organization needs.

"Nonprofits across the region work every day to help people in the community no matter what," Matray said. "And so this is our chance to help the nonprofits with what they need."

This marks the fifth annual Go All IN Day. This year's projects include cleaning out the barn of a horse therapy organization in Sheridan, beautifying downtown Indianapolis, and helping paint the Wellspring Center in Martinsville.
