Heavy Snowfall Is Coming

Heavy snowfall is coming this weekend. National Weather Service Indianapolis Meteorologist Andrew White says a winter storm warning is in effect for parts of central and southern Indiana. Up to 7 inches of snow could fall across the area.

“Most of the heavy snow is going to fall on Saturday and then wrapping up by Sunday morning", says White.

The storm warning covers 25 Indiana counties and includes the cities of Indianapolis, Bloomington, Columbus, Terre Haute and Vincennes, as well as numerous other communities.

The weather service says the storm is expected to create hazardous travel conditions.

Indianapolis airport will reduce flights during the government shutdown

To reduce pressure on air traffic controllers during the ongoing government shutdown airports across the nation will limit flights, including Indianapolis International Airport.
