From WFYI’s Arts and Culture Desk, an arthouse cinema is slated to open on the near east side of Indianapolis this month. Along with films, the Kan-Kan will offer a restaurant curated by local star chef Abbi Merriss of Bluebeard. It will also offer education space for students, organizations and film makers.

WFYI’s Jill Ditmire spoke with Daniel Arthur Jacobson, who is Kan-Kan’s programming director and part of a nonprofit created to stimulate the city’s film scene.
