Tell us about your organization and the role you play there?
Dr. Brian J. Pease, Owner and President of Body One Physical Therapy. Body One is a locally-owned physical therapy practice serving Central Indiana clients since 2002. Our focus is on getting people of all ages and activity levels back to what they love through the provision of individualized physical therapy and performance enhancement programs.
What role does your company play in the community?
Body One has always placed a great deal of importance in local community involvement because of our roots in the community. As we have grown within our communities we have developed philanthropic partnerships with groups like Rock Steady Boxing, Justin’s Run For Hope, Habitat for Humanity and the Joseph F. Maley foundation. We also partner with the University of Indianapolis to provide the only Indianapolis-based Orthopedic Clinical Specialist residency program for Physical Therapists. Body One Physical Therapy is an empathy-based practice and giving back to the community is very important to our organization.
Why do you support WFYI?
WFYI keeps me centered and connected to what’s going on in my community, as well as what’s going on in the world. I enjoy listening to WFYI primarily because it goes beyond sound bites to explore issues important to me, my family and my community. By bringing up substantive topics for discussion and debate, WFYI allows for the listener to generate informed decisions.
What’s your favorite way to listen to or consume WFYI?
Several years ago I decided that my drive time needed to be a time of thoughtful contemplation rather than listening to the arguing and rhetoric of “talk radio.” WFYI provides me with substance and information that I can mull over in the quiet solitude of my commute.
