Four New Kids Shows Premiere on WFYI

Kids Series Spark Learning, Laughter & Growth
As communities across the country and here in Central Indiana recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, families and teachers are looking to create playful, kid-friendly learning experiences over the summer months. Beginning May 3, WFYI is adding four new children's series that continue the work public media has been doing for decades: supporting the social-emotional learning, literacy and math skills of children. 


Donkey Hodie
Weekdays at 10 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. Plus Saturdays at 8 a.m.
Ideal for Ages 3-5

Donkey Hodie is a puppet series for preschoolers inspired by the quirky, funny side of Fred Rogers as well as his mission to help young viewers navigate the frustrations and challenges of childhood.
Through 11-minute, character-driven stories full of adventure and imagination, Donkey Hodie and her pals Purple Panda, Bob Dog and Duck Duck empower young viewers to dream big and overcome obstacles in their own lives. To work hard and persevere in the face of failure.To be resourceful and discover that they are capable of solving problems on their own. Oh, and to laugh themselves silly along the way!

Let's Learn
Weekdays at 6 a.m.
Ideal for Ages 3-8

Let's Learn is an educational series featuring lessons by educators, STEM specialists, teaching artists and more. The one-hour episodes include instruction in literacy, math, science, social studies and the arts to supplement at-home learning. Tune in to go on virtual field trips to dance performances, wildlife, botanical gardens and more while growing social-emotional skills too.

Camp TV
Saturdays at 9 a.m.
Ideal for Ages 6 & Up

Camp TV is a day camp experience in your living room! An enthusiastic camp counselor, Zachary Noah Piser, guides "campers" as they learn through play. Content partners include The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New Victory Theater, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Carnegie Hall, Memphis Zoo and more. 

Kid Stew
Sundays at 7 a.m.
Ideal for Ages 8 & Up

Created by best-selling author James Patterson, Kid Stew is a fast-paced, irreverent series that's by kids, about kids and for kids. Young viewers are captivated by jokes, original music videos and fun sketches by its cast of relatable pre-teens – including Armando, Blake, Caroline, David, Luke, Madison, Milena, Nicholas, Satine, Josiah and Samantha, plus  their mascot dog Ozzie – all the while encouraging kids to explore books, science, history, music and creative expression.
