Indy School Leader Suspended Over Sexually Explicit Email, Report on Disabilities in the Workplace, HSE School Board Race, No Incumbent in District 39 State House Race

The leader of one of Indianapolis’ largest charter schools was suspended for two weeks without pay this spring, after the school board learned of a shocking email he sent two years ago. A 20-year-old worker has a one-in-four chance of experiencing a significant disabling condition before retiring. A pool of six candidates made up of newcomers and incumbents have set their sights on three open Hamilton Southeastern school board seats. It’s the first time in nearly three decades that an incumbent isn’t running for the District 39 State House seat.
