Indy City-County Council's First Meeting of the Year, Top Priorities for Republicans and Democrats in the Indiana Senate, Backlash Against Republican-Sponsored Education Bill

The Indianapolis City-County Council convened for its first meeting of the year yesterday Wednesday after postponing it due to the winter storm on Monday. Indiana Senate Republicans say one of their top priorities in 2025 will be a major overhaul of the state’s Medicaid expansion program. Indiana Senate Democrats say their 2025 legislative agenda is focused on ensuring Hoosier families have support and children have opportunity. A Republican-sponsored education bill has quickly inspired a passionate campaign against it.
