Well Done, Indiana

The show details the important military and political contributions Hoosiers made to the Civil War.

In total, about 200,000 Hoosiers volunteered to fight during the course of the American Civil War. The Secretary of War, Edwin Stanton, sent a personal note to Governor Oliver P. Morton to recognize Indiana’s contribution: “Well Done, Indiana.”
