State-Funded Preschool

Indiana has lagged behind most other states when it comes to providing any type of state-funded preschool. A five-county pilot program that provides funding for children of low income families to attend quality Pre-K has seen such an overwhelming demand for enrollment that supporters say it's time for the state to move to a full fledged program. This year, the legislature made some changes.
