I'm psyched to feature Josephine and Henry of the legendary Indianapolis soul group the The Sentimentals on thiss edition of Cultural Manifesto. I'll The spinning both sides of The Sentimentals' 1970 single on Knap Town Records, Plus many other rare Indianapolis groups connected to The Sentimentals, including: People in the News, King James Version, The Diplomatics, and an unreleased track off a lost album project by Indy gospel greats the Blakey Specials.

This week on Cultural Manifesto my guest will be the extraordinary guitarist/composer Rafiq Bhatia. Rafiq is probably best known as a member of Son Lux, but he has an extraordinary new solo disc titled Breaking English. A recent New York Times piece described Rafiq as one of the "most intriguing figures in music today." On Breaking English Rafiq draws from a wide palette of sounds, including electronic music, jazz, and South Indian Carnatic music.
