Our HD Radio hardware experienced an unexpected failure and as a result WFYI's HD radio broadcast services are currently down. Our FM broadcast and Internet streams are unaffected. Cecil, The Real Lion King

In 2015, one of the biggest wild lions in Zimbabwe's Hwange National Park was lured out of the animal reserve and killed by an American dentist and trophy hunter. Cecil was tragically destined to become one of Africa’s most famous animals. While his demise was splashed across the media, sparking fury and sadness in many, Cecil’s life leaves a noteworthy impact on conservation research.
