The Fight For Guaranteed Pregnant Worker Accommodations
April 06, 2021
There's a bill at the Indiana Statehouse that would make employers respond to requests for accommodations by pregnant employees. But responding to a request doesn't mean it's a guarantee they'll get it.
Today we talk to the representative behind the bill to find out what impact it would have. We find out why pregnant worker legislation in Indiana has failed in recent years, and why some who want more protections see this new bill as nothing more than a symbolic gesture.
