Severe Weather and Natural Disaster Preparedness
April 28, 2021
From deadly tornadoes to devastating floods, Indiana has a storied history of severe weather. With more natural disasters across the country, could Indiana be next, and are we prepared?
On today's show we talk to natural disaster experts to find out how these events can be predicted. We learn what kinds of severe weather are commonly seen in Indiana, and how Hoosiers should take precautions.
We also talk about statewide efforts to prepare and help communities affected by severe weather, and natural disaster collaborations around the state, with a representative of the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
