Youth Sports
August 28, 2019
Sports are one of the best ways to teach young people positive life lessons in a fun, engaging way. Teamwork, confidence, sportsmanship, skill-building, and so much more. So it makes sense that families invest in it, heavily, with their time and money. But like all things, youth sports can turn toxic when certain lines are crossed.
All IN host Matt Pelsor talks to Tami Silverman (CEO of the Indiana Youth Institute), Ryan Cole (co-founder of Indiana Prime Time Sports), David Pierce (director of the Sports Innovation Institute), and Molly Wright (senior director of youth programming at Indiana Sports Corp) about the issue.
Matt also catches up with Dana Benbow, sports reporter for the IndyStar, about recent reporting on youth sport injuries.
