The Heartland International Film Festival Goes Online
October 07, 2020
The Heartland International Film Festival is mostly virtual this year due to the pandemic, with a hybrid of online and in-person screenings, including drive-ins. Part of the appeal of a film festival is being around other fans, but the convenience of watching from home could bring in a new audience.
We talk to someone leading the festival about how they plan on making it work. And we talk to a group of filmmakers about what it's like to make and release a movie during a pandemic.
Produced by Drew Daudelin.
Guests:
Greg Sorvig
Artistic Director, Heartland Film
Nick Nummerdor and Andrew J. Morgan
Co-Directors, “Sleeze Lake: Vanlife at its Lowest & Best”
Mu Sun and Stephen Ritz
Filmmakers, “Generation Growth”
