Healing the Invisible Wounds of War
December 23, 2019
The 1993 Battle of Mogadishu, depicted in the Academy Award-winning movie Black Hawk Down, was Tom Satterly’s very first combat mission. The Seymour native served in some of the most critical and high-profile missions of the last three decades, but the battles didn’t end after returning home.
Today Satterly talks about facing PTSD, anxiety, and depression after his retirement. He shares the difficulty of those challenges in his new memoir “All Secure,” and he and his wife Jen continue to help veterans and their families find their footing after service through the All Secure Foundation.
Produced by Matt Pelsor.
