Domestic Violence
August 29, 2019
Domestic disputes are one of the most common calls police get. As many as 3 million incidents of domestic violence are reported in the United States every year, and it’s estimated that around twice that number of cases go unreported.
All IN host Matt Pelsor sits down with two leaders of the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Executive Director Laura Berry and Director of Prevention Initiatives Colleen Yeakle, to talk about their latest research on the issue.
He also talks to Catherine O’Connor, CEO of the Julian Center in Indianapolis, and Kelly McBride, executive director of the Domestic Violence Network. And he checks in with IndyStar reporter Ryan Martin, to talk about Martin’s recent story about a victim of domestic violence.
