A Celtic Awakening with Faith Marion Robinson
A Celtic Awakening, based on the national Public TV special, its genesis is from the A Celtic Awakening story Robinson developed out of her own experiences, from the stock market crash to magically traveling to Ireland through history to a world reconciled in peace. Each of the songs on this DVD was specifically chosen through lyric and music to illuminate the themes in the awakening storyline.
Each of these points is carried throughout the musical selections representing themes of Irish emigration, the sorrowful famine, the Troubles, and modern Ireland in its role as a world leader in peace. Song selections were poignantly and purposefully chosen across multiple genres, connecting lyrics from cherished standards, Broadway, and pop songs to accomplish these themes.
