Ball State University says it was forced to eliminate 25 positions, curb travel and reduce supplies to avoid ending fiscal year 2019 with a budget shortfall.

Ball State University is raising its tuition by a smaller amount than it suggested it might a few weeks ago. But, as IPRs Stephanie Wiechmann reports, a new fee for online classes could raise that cost significantly for some students.

A Ball State University study in collaboration with Virginia Tech says part of that may be due to less agricultural land bordering the river and more forests.

Indiana Commission for Higher Education member John Popp questioned the mission of the university's proposed multicultural center saying it seemed "counterproductive to set up a $4 million facility to segregate."
