As Republican US Congresswoman Victoria Spartz runs for re-election in the 5th District, she’s appearing at a series of town halls across her district. In Muncie on Monday night, Spartz was surprised by some of the questions asked.

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jennifer McCormick criticized the state’s plan for new high school diplomas Monday. She said the proposed diplomas are not rigorous enough and are not easily understandable for parents, students and educators.
The state made its first public arguments in a legal challenge to recent changes to Indiana’s attendant care program. The program provides services for people considered medically complex. Attorneys for the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration said parents aren’t allowed to provide this type of care under the state’s Medicaid program.
