Protesters lined the sidewalks alongside a strip of 96th Street Wednesday afternoon in a bid to catch the attention of U.S. Sen. Todd Young.

Over 150 people attended the rally, calling for more accountability and transparency from their legislator. The event was organized by Indivisible Central Indiana and was located just outside of the Republican senator’s Far Northside office.

One of the protest organizers, Monty Hulse, said this public display is at the tail end of a laundry list of attempts to get Young to hear about the worries of his constituents.

“We’ve been in his office,” Hulse said. “We’ve talked to him. We’ve sent him long transcripts of meetings that we’ve had. We want him to listen to us and listen to what the people of Indiana are afraid is going to be happening to them because of Donald Trump and Elon Musk.”

Chants and signs singling out President Trump, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Musk and Young were heard and seen throughout the protest.
