Spooky Tales Highlight Storytelling Event

Spooky Tales Highlight Storytelling Event

Stories of things that go bump in the night will be told during an annual event at Crown Hill Cemetery Saturday night.  Storytelling Arts of Indiana will present narratives that progress in creepiness throughout the evening.

The family friendly event showcases the work of numerous Hoosier storytellers that craft their tales around the audience.

"The story is always different," says Storytelling Arts of Indiana Executive Director and co-founder Ellen Munds.  "Everyone remembers sitting around a campfire listening to ghost stories."

Set against the backdrop of Indianapolis' oldest cemetery, the night starts with a RIP reception and stories begin at 7:30 p.m.  People are also invited to bring a picnic and dine among the headstones.  Family with all members living under one roof can receive a deal on tickets, which are available at storytellingarts.org.

The popular event will be held rain or dark under a large tent.  Ghost Stories are also interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing.
