South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg will be skipping the Indiana Democratic Party Convention this weekend and will instead be getting married.

Buttigieg is marrying his partner Chasten Glezman at the Cathedral of Saint James Episcopal Church in South Bend. The ceremony will be livestreamed on the church’s YouTube channel.

Buttigieg has been the mayor of South Bend since 2012. Glezman is a social studies teacher at the Montessori Academy Edison Lakes in Mishawaka.

Buttiegieg came out as gay in 2015 shortly before being re-elected as mayor with 80 percent of the vote.

The couple will make a stop at South Bend’s Pride festival following the ceremony.

Also getting married on Saturday is Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me host Peter Sagal. Buttigieg and Segal shared a Twitter back and forth earlier this week on the subject.
