A second school employee filed a discrimination charge against Roncalli High School and the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Friday.

The filing comes a day after guidance counselor Shelly Fitzgerald announced a charge of her own against the Archdiocese. Roncalli leaders placed her on administrative leave in August because of her marriage to a woman.

A press release said, just days after that happened, the principal asked counselor Lynn Starkey about her civil union and she answered truthfully. The release said Starkey feels unwelcome at the school as a gay person.

She plans to sue the school once her charge is reviewed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Shelly Fitzgerald's lawyer David Page responded to the press release.

"It breaks my heart Lynn is going through this as well. I wish her all the luck in the world," Page says.
