MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (AP) — An organization that works to restore and preserve dunes in northwest Indiana's Lake Michigan watershed is looking for an executive director because the group's previous leader has a new job.

Save the Dunes parks program coordinator Cathy Martin says the group wants someone who will continue partnerships with different organizations and is dedicated to the dunes. Martin tells The (Munster) Times she wants someone with "an exciting vision" for the dunes.

The previous executive director for the group, Nicole Barker, is leaving to be the director of capital investment and implementation for the South Shore Line.

Barker began her job at Save the Dunes in 2010.

The Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District, which operates the South Shore Line, is currently working on two major expansions.
