Pence Names New State Personnel Director

Governor Mike Pence Monday named Denny Darrow director of the Indiana State Personnel Department (SPD).

Darrow joined the SPD in 2010. He has served as the agency’s chief of staff and deputy director. According to a statement released by the governor’s office Monday, Darrow oversaw the implementation of several projects while chief of staff, including the state’s first employee health clinic.

In the statement Governor Pence said Darrow is “uniquely qualified to continue the work of this agency”.

According to the statement, Darrow is a 1992 graduate of Purdue University and has 17 years of human resources experience in both the public and private sectors.
