Nomination For Mr. And Miss Math And Science Awards Begin

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — High school seniors can now be nominated for Indiana's 2016 Mr. and Miss Math and Science award.

Gov. Mike Pence announced Tuesday that nominations are now being accepted for the annual award. It is intended to highlight student achievement in science, technology, engineering and math classes.

Four winners will be selected for the math and science achievement, which comes with a $1,000 college scholarship.

The deadline for nomination is April 10. A panel that includes teachers as well as science and technology professionals will announce the winners in May.

A nomination can be submitted through the state's website.
