Hoosier Eugene V. Debs  ran for President of the United States five times as a socialist, and is considered one of the most influential Americans for workers’ rights. WFYI Arts and Culture desk’s Jill Ditmire spoke with producer Kim Hood Jacobs about a new documentary that chronicles his life. Jacobs says Debs’ socialist roots may have been established in his Indiana childhood.

"The Revolutionist: Eugene V. Debs." The documentary premieres Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. on WFYI 1.
