New Bird Trail Launched In Indy

New Bird Trail Launched In Indy

Area residents and visitors now have a new way to enjoy our feathered friends.  The Indy Birding Trail leads people to 35 of the city’s best places for bird watching.  The trail will soon have a mobile app and guide for birders to take along.

Indianapolis is the home to hundreds of different species of birds and located on an important migratory path.  The trail is made possible with the help of federal money after Indianapolis signed an Urban Conservation Treaty two years ago. Educational outreach programs at Eagle Creek are also part of the effort with the support of the Office of Sustainability and Indy Parks.
