Neighbor Power Indy Goes Virtual for 10th Annual Neighborhood Summit

The 10th annual Neighbor Power Indy is underway.  Approximately 400 neighborhood and community leaders and activists are participating in the 3 day event, featuring resident-led workshops and neighborhood storytelling.

Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center Executive Director, Anne-Marie Taylor, said this year’s workshops are centered around the theme of “Community Healing.”

“As more and more neighbors are spending more time in their neighborhoods due to the pandemic, we think neighbor power is a good opportunity to come together and learn from one another and share our stories,” Taylor said.

The event is virtual this year due to the pandemic.

Dr. Virginia A. Caine, the director of the Marion County Public Health Department, will provide the keynote address during Saturday’s session. Additional speakers include Mayor Joe Hogsett and Deputy Mayor of Neighborhood Engagement Judith Thomas.

A full listing of workshops and presenters is on the Neighbor Power Indy website http://www.inrc.org/
