Life-Saving Devices Donated To Indianapolis Fire Department

Life-Saving Devices Donated To Indianapolis Fire Department

Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death in the U.S.  It can happen to anyone-anywhere-and at any age.

Portable devices called Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) can save lives and now approximately 30 of the devices are being donated by Comcast to the Indianapolis Fire Department.

“We have multiple not-for-profit organizations that we will be distributing these items to," says IFD Battalion Chief Anthony Williamson. "We have been trying to secure equipment like this for years because we never know what’s going to happen right in front of us.”

IFD paramedics will visit several of the locations to give an overview of how the AED’s operate.
