The initial waves of the coronavirus, social distancing and shelter in place hurt many local businesses.

WFYI’s Taylor Bennett spoke to Aspire Economic Development Plus Chamber Alliance CEO Christian Maslowski about a survey of Johnson County area businesses. It assess the economic impacts during the first month of shutdown.

In a phone conversation, Maslowski says the state of local business can best be described as down but not out.
